1. About Yellow Tape
Yellow Tape is a home improvement platform that connects homeowners with licensed contractors. We are operated by Yellow Tape ("we," "us," or "our"), a company based in California. By using our platform at yellow-tape-app.vercel.app, you agree to these Terms of Service.
2. Who Can Use Yellow Tape
You must be at least 18 years old and a legal resident of the United States to use Yellow Tape. By using our platform you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
3. Homeowner Terms
As a homeowner, you agree to provide accurate information about your project and property. Yellow Tape uses the information you submit to match you with contractors and to facilitate financing inquiries. We do not guarantee financing approval or project completion. Contractor matching is based on availability, location, and project fit.
4. Contractor Terms
As a contractor, you agree to maintain an active contractor license and valid insurance at all times while participating in the Yellow Tape network. You agree to respond to matched leads promptly and professionally. Yellow Tape reserves the right to remove any contractor from the platform for failure to meet these standards. Lead fees and subscription payments are processed through Stripe and are non-refundable once a lead has been delivered.
5. Payments
All payments on Yellow Tape are processed securely through Stripe. Yellow Tape does not store your payment card information. By submitting a payment you authorize Yellow Tape to charge the applicable fees as described at the time of purchase. All fees are in US dollars.
6. Financing
Yellow Tape facilitates connections between homeowners and third-party financing providers. Yellow Tape is not a lender. Financing decisions are made entirely by third-party lenders and are subject to their terms and conditions. Yellow Tape makes no guarantee of financing approval.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the Yellow Tape platform including text, images, and AI-generated designs is owned by or licensed to Yellow Tape. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any content from our platform without written permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
Yellow Tape is a platform that connects homeowners and contractors. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of any contractor's work. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform or from any contractor relationship facilitated through Yellow Tape.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
